ASHLAND, VA -- Jessica Sears (13), Raena Winton (12) and Mallory
Carter (12) each tallied double digit kills and Jill Kubichan
recorded 36 digs on defense as Randolph-Macon out lasted Virginia
Wesleyan 3-2 in ODAC Volleyball Tuesday night in Ashland.
R-MC won by game scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-18, 25-27, 15-8. The
Jackets are now 15-1 overall and 4-0 in the league. VWC falls to
13-3 and 1-2 in the ODAC.
April Hines had eight kills in the win as well. Savanna Love and
Sam Block had 21 and 20 assists, respectively on the night.
Hines had seven total eight total blocks, Alix Macrae posted
seven stops and Carter recorded six. Sears (18), Carter (17), Block
(15) and Love (11) all joined Kubichan with double digit digs.
Randolph-Macon will travels hits the road this Saturday where it
will take on Lynchburg at 11:00 am and Roanoke in Salem at 6:00
p.m.
