Sears Sends R-MC Past Bridgewater 3-1 in ODAC

ASHLAND, VA - Jessica Sears collected 12 kills,
19 digs and three aces as Randolph-Macon improved to 14-1 overall
and 3-0 in the ODAC with a 3-1 win over Bridgewater. BC now stands
at 5-8 and 3-1 in the league.
After losing the first game 25-23, R-MC rallied
to reel off three straight games, winning by the scores of 25-17,
25-23 and 25-17.
R-MC had a balanced offensive attack that
featured nine kills by Raena Winton, eight by April Hines and six
apiece by Mallory Carter and Mallory James. Savanna Love had 23
assists and Sam Block had 14 helpers in the win. Love, Winton,
Carter and Sears all had three serving aces as well.
Jill Kubichan joined Sears with 19 digs
defensively, while Alix Macrae had three blocks at the net for
R-MC.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Tuesday when they host
ODAC rival Virginia Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m.
