Hauser and Nelms Net Two Goals Each as
Randolph-Macon Blanks Hollins 5-0

ASHLAND, VA- Freshmen Erin
Hauser and Amanda Nelms netted two goals each as Randolph-Macon
Women's Soccer shutout Hollins 5-0 in Ashland Saturday. With the
win, R-MC improves to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the ODAC.
Amanda Nelms found the back of the net in the
8th minute to give the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 advantage.
Hauser doubled the R-MC lead six minutes later
with an unassisted goal. Hauser added another goal later in the
half off of a Tory Suchoza pass to put the Yellow Jackets up 3-0.
Ashley Stover netted her first goal of the
season in the 76th minute to put Randolph-Macon up 4-0.
Ashley Malinowski is credited with the assist, her first of the
season.
Amanda Nelms bent a shot into the back of the
net two minutes later to give R-MC a 5-0 advantage which would
prove to be the final.
Randolph-Macon outshot Hollins 30-2 with an 11-0
advantage in shots on goal. The Yellow Jackets also won corners by
a 10-0 margin.
R-MC Women's Soccer will be back in action
Wednesday, September 23rd when they host Shenandoah for
a 4:00 p.m. match.
