R-MC Splits at Day One of Greensboro College
Tournament
GREENSBORO, NC - The Randolph-Macon College volleyball team
split a pair of matches on the first day of the Greensboro College
Tournament on Friday. R-MC topped Salem 3-0 and dropped a 3-2
decision to Piedmont to start the day.
In the 25-12, 25-15, 25-16 win over Salem, April Hines had a
team high nine kills and Courtney Anderson passed for a match high
14 assists as The Yellow Jackets improve to 8-1 on the season.
Raena Winton and Ashton Wallace also registered seven kills apiece,
while Block dished out 12 helpers.
In the day's first match, Piedmont rallied from a 2-0 set
deficit to hand R-MC its first loss of the year. The Yellow Jackets
were paced by Raena Winton's 16 kills.
Randolph-Macon will be back on action on Saturday when it takes
on host Greensboro at Noon and ODAC rival at 2:00 p.m.
