Lynchburg Scores Late to Get Past R-MC 2-0 in ODAC

LYNCHBURG, VA - Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer
held Lynchburg scoreless for 75 minutes before the Hornets finally
punched in two late goals to take the game 2-0. Lynchburg will
advance to the ODAC semi-finals while the Yellow Jackets will
finish their season with an 11-6 record.
After a scoreless first half, Lynchburg took a 1-0 in the
75th minute on a goal by Brittany Klippstein. Jessica
Gonzalez would tack on another goal for the Hornets five minutes
later to make the final score 2-0.
R-MC keeper Mary Jocelyn (Virginia Beach, VA/ Bayside) collected
10 saves despite the loss.
Lynchburg held a 31-1 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in
penalty corners.
Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer 11-6 overall record is their best
finish since the 2004 season. R-MC finished tied for fourth in the
ODAC.
