Box Score ASHLAND, VA-- The
Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer team held strong against ODAC leader
Washington and Lee Saturday in Ashland but, the Generals held off
the Yellow Jackets' attack for a 2-0 win.
R-MC kept the nation's eighth best scoring
offense off the board until the 42nd minute when Roz
Klann netted a Laura Youngmeyer pass to put W&L up 1-0.
Anne Masich stretched the Generals' lead to 2-0
with a goal in the 63rd minute.
The Yellow Jackets made several late offensive
pushes but could not find the back of the net.
R-MC Keeper Mary Jocelyn collected two saves
while W&L Keeper Emily Leary stopped eight shots.
The Generals outshot the Yellow Jackets 13-10
and held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer will host Sweet
Briar Tuesday, October 6th, for a 4:00 p.m. match.
