Jenkins Late Goal Sends R-MC Past Mary Washington

VA-Monica Jenkins' (Culpeper, VA/ Culpeper) scored with
four minutes left to give Randolph-Macon Field Hockey a 1-0 win
over Mary Washington Wednesday in Fredericksburg. The Yellow
Jackets are now 10-9 overall, winning 10 of their last 11 games.
The R-MC defense and keeper Nicole
Woodworth (Culpeper, VA/ Eastern View) held the UMW attack in check
throughout the entire game for their six shutout win of the season.
Woodworth collected six saves on the day.
Randolph-Macon held a 14-11
advantage in shots while Mary Washington took an 11-10 edge in
penalty corners.
The Yellow Jackets' will be back in
action Saturday, October 31st, when they host
Bridgewater College at 1:00 p.m. in the ODAC tournament
quarterfinals.
