R-MC Women's Soccer Tops Roanoke 1-0 In ODAC

SALEM, VA-Ashley Malinowski's unassisted goal
in the second half led Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer past Roanoke
1-0 in Salem Saturday. The Yellow Jackets are now 11-4 overall and
7-3 in the ODAC.
After a scoreless first half, Ashley Malinowski (Sicklerville,
NJ/ Timber Creek) found the back of the net in the 61st
minute to put R-MC up 1-0.
The Yellow Jacket defense and keeper Mary Jocelyn (Virginia
Beach, VA/ Bayside) kept the Maroons' offense attack in check to
hold on to the 1-0 victory. Jocelyn stopped ten shots on the day.
Randolph-Macon earned the win despite being outshot 23-9. The
Yellow Jackets held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
R-MC Women's Soccer will play their final regular season game
Wednesday, October 28th, when they travel to Lynchburg
College for a 6:00 p.m. match.
