R-MC Volleyball Downs Emory and Henry 3-1 to Notch
20th Win
EMORY, VA-Randolph-Macon Volleyball picked up a
3-1 ODAC road win against Emory and Henry Friday to improve their
record to 20-5 overall and 8-1 in the ODAC.
The Yellow Jackets took the match 28-26, 23-25, 25-17, and
25-21. Raena Winton (Magnolia, TX/Waller) and Jessica Sears
(Newport News, VA/ Menchville) led R-MC with 13 kills each. April
Hines (Suffolk, VA/Nansemond River) chipped in with 11 kills.
Junior Sam Block (Charlottesville, VA/Albermarle) led
Randolph-Macon with 23 assists. Courtney Anderson (Virginia Beach,
VA/ First Colonial) and Savanna Love (Clifton, VA/ Robinson
Secondary) also added to the R-MC offense with 13 and 10 assists
respectively.
Defensively, Jill Kubichan (Chesapeake, VA/ Great Bridge) and
Sears had 19 digs each. Block added 13 digs in the Yellow Jackets'
win.
Randolph-Macon Volleyball will be back in action Monday, October
26th, when they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan for a
7:00 p.m. match.
