Hauser Strikes Twice in R-MC's 3-0 Win Over
Randolph
ASHLAND, VA - Erin Hauser scored a
pair of goals as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team upended
Randolph College 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Ashland. The win
improves R-MC's record to 10-4-0 overall and 6-3-0 in the league.
Angela Nelms got R-MC on the board
in the seventh minute off a double assist from MaryCarol Davis and
Ashley Malinowski.
The matched remained that way until
the 33rd minute when Hauser struck for her first goal of
the day, beating WildCat keeper Victoria Johnson to double the R-MC
advantage.
Hauser capped the scoring in the
last minute of play, scoring on a assists from Tory Suchoza.
R-MC outshot Randolph 34-5 and held
a 16-2 advantage on corner kicks. Mary Jocelyn played all 90
minutes in net for the Jackets, make a pair of saves, while Johnson
made 14 stops for the WildCats.
Randolph-Macon will be back in next
Saturday when it heads to Roanoke for a key ODAC match with the
Maroons at 1:00 p.m.
