ASHLAND, VA - Randolph-Macon's Justin Short poured in a game-high 22 points as he led the Yellow Jackets to their 13th win in the last 14 games with a 79-66 ODAC road victory at Washington and Lee Wednesday evening in Lexington.

R-MC (14-4 / 8-1 ODAC) shot a blistering 63.7% from the floor, making 30-of-47 shots on the night. Billy Campion and Brandon Braxton played a big part in 38 points in the paint with 11 and 12 tallies, respectively. The Jackets assisted on 13 of their field goals, led by a game-high six from Short.

W&L (12-5 / 5-3 ODAC) was led by Ben Heller who had a team-high 19 points on the night. Chris McHugh also had 17 points for the Generals who were held to 41.8% shooting from the floor and were just 1-of-14 from beyond the arc.

The Yellow Jackets shot 60% in the first-half to stake themselves to a 35-28 lead at the break.

R-MC would extend its advantage to 11 points with just under 15 minutes left in the game when Short converted two free-throws to make the score 46-35. Short then would help push the lead to 14 points when he canned his lone three of the game with 8:51 to go, making the score 59-45.

Washington and Lee chipped away and was able to cut the R-MC lead to seven when McHugh connected on a three-pointer with 2:39 to go. That would be as close as the Generals would get as the Jackets scored 10 of the final 14 points down the stretch to seal its 44th win in its last 45 meetings with W&L.

The Yellow Jackets will be on the road Saturday when it travels to Greensboro, NC for a key ODAC game with Guilford College. Tip-off is slated for 3:00 p.m.
