Mary Washington Slips by Randolph-Macon
Volleyball 3-2
ASHLAND, Va. --- The University of Mary
Washington scored a hard fought 3-2 win over the Randolph-Macon
College volleyball team Wednesday night in Crenshaw Gymnasium. The
Eagles topped the Yellow Jackets by game scores of 25-15, 14-25,
25-21, 23-25, 15-6.
R-MC (0-2) was led offensively by April Hines
and Kendra Smith who had 10 and seven kills, respectively on the
night. Sam Block dished out 14 assists, while Savanna Love chipped
in with 12. Jill Kubichan led the defensive effort with 21 digs.
Maggie Horn had 15 digs and Block added 12 of her own. Hines had
three solo blocks and four assisted stops on the night.
R-MC returns to action on Friday night
when it takes part in the Battleground Invitational at Gettysburg
College.
