Yellow Jackets Volleyball Stings Eastern
Mennonite 3-0
ASHLAND, VA -- The Randolph-Macon College volleyball team knocked
off ODAC rival Eastern Mennonite University at home on Wednesday,
topping the Royals 3-0 in Ashland.
R-MC (10-5 / 2-0 ODAC) won by game scores of
25-14, 25-17 and 25-14 and were led offensively by Alix Mcrae who
had eight kills to go along with seven from April Hines and six
each from Kendra Smith and Maggie Horn. Sam Block (17) and Savanna
Love (13) combined for 30 assists. Jill Kubichan had 11 digs
defensively to lead the team, while Horn had eight stops of her
own.
The Jackets will be back in action on Friday
when they welcome ODAC foe Emory and Henry College to Crenshaw Gym
for a 5:00 p.m. match and then take on Virginia State at 7:30 p.m.
