Frostburg State in R-MC Coaches Classic Opener

ASHLAND, VA -- Thirteen different Yellow Jackets scored as
Randolph-Macon opened up the 2008 R-MC Coaches Classic Sponsored by
Rees Jewelers with a 86-41 victory visiting Frostburg State
University Monday night.
R-MC, which has won five games in a row will take on No. 12
Ursinus College Tuesday night in the tournament's championship
game. The Bobcats will face Lebanon Valley at 6:00 p.m. in the
consolation game. UC topped LVC, 75-64 earlier on Monday evening.
The Jackets jumped out to a 34-9 lead and never looked back as
it took 42-18 advantage into the locker room at intermission and
was able to build as high as a 47-point edge during the
second-half.
Randolph-Macon (6-3) got 13 points from Danny Jones and Jordan
Brown, while Brandon Braxton and Justin Short had 11 and 10 points,
respectively in the win. Bill Campion grabbed eight rebounds,
helping R-MC to a 42-30 advantage on the glass. The Yellow Jackets
shot 50.8% for the game, while holding FSU (3-6) to just 19 made
field goals on 58 attempts.
Keith Hazel had nine points, while Steven Ogg and Makiha Cooper
chipped in with six apiece paced the Bobcats.
