R-MC Blanks Sweet Briar 3-0
ASHLAND, VA - Caitlin Blake dished two assists to fuel the
Yellow Jackets past Sweet Briar on Tuesday, 3-0. R-MC controlled
the tempo of the match as goalkeepers Mary Jocelyn and China
Bradley made two saves to earn the shutout.
The Yellow Jackets took a first half lead after Caitlin Blake
found Meghan Calabrese off a corner kick. The goal gave R-MC a 1-0
lead. After a Sweet Briar own-goal, Blake added another assist,
this time setting up Brittany Jones to seal the 3-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Mary Jocelyn and China Bradley combined for the
shutout victory.
The Yellow Jackets improve their record to 7-4 (3-4 ODAC). R-MC
returns to action as the Yellow Jackets travel to Emory & Henry
on Saturday to take on the Wasps. Game time is slated for 11:00 AM.
