AUSTIN, TEXAS -- The Randolph-Macon volleyball
team split a pair of matches at day one of the Austin College
Tournament. The Yellow Jackets downed Ripon 3-1 in the day's
first match before having their 15 match win streak snapped at the
hands of Southwestern 3-0.
In the win over Ripon, April Hines had 12 kills, while Kendra Smith
had 11. Sam Block dished out 25 assists, while Savanna Love
had 17. Jill Kubichan led the defense with 25 digs to go
along with 16 from Hines. Smith had a total of six blocks in
the win as well.
In the loss to Southwestern, Hines had eight kills, while Raena
Winton had five.
