Leavenworth joins the Yellow Jackets with more than a decade of collegiate head coaching experience and a strong commitment to student-athlete development, competitive excellence, academic success, and program leadership.
She joins Randolph-Macon after serving as head softball coach and assistant athletic director for student-athlete leadership and development at Muhlenberg College since 2019. During her seven seasons with the Mules, Leavenworth compiled a 132-108 record and guided the program to its most successful season in school history in 2026.
Under her leadership, Muhlenberg posted a 36-13 record in 2026, setting a school record for wins by any sport. The Mules captured the first NCAA Regional championship in program history and advanced to the NCAA Super Regional, earning an at-large NCAA Tournament bid and defeating three nationally ranked teams during regional play. The team finished the season ranked as high as 15th nationally.
Leavenworth was named Centennial Conference and NFCA Region V Coaching Staff of the Year following the historic season. The 2026 squad also established multiple school records, including marks for hits, runs, stolen bases, strikeouts, and shutouts. Seven players earned conference or regional honors, including the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year and NFCA Region V Freshman of the Year.
Her coaching philosophy emphasizes leadership, accountability, personal growth, and academic achievement while creating an environment that allows student-athletes to excel both on and off the field. In 2026, Muhlenberg softball posted a 3.786 team GPA, with 28 of 30 student-athletes earning Dean's List recognition and eight earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.
