Nick McGee completed his fifth season on the RMC staff in 2024, working with the offensive line for the fifth straight year and serving as offensive coordinator.
Following the record-setting season of 2023, RMC posted seven straight conference wins to earn its 15th ODAC championship, the most in conference history. The Yellow Jackets were ranked No. 15 in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) and earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA Championship. RMC would host No. 23 Washington & Jefferson in the second round. The Yellow Jackets rallied from a 14-0 deficit to record a 38-22 victory. RMC joined Mount Union, North Central and Wartburg as the only programs to reach the Round of 16 in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The season would end for the Yellow Jackets at No. 3 Salisbury.
RMC is one of three programs in NCAA Division III with nine or more wins in each of the past six full seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), joining Mount Union and North Central. The Yellow Jackets have a 44-3 ODAC record since 2018 (.936) and own a 48-5 overall record since 2020 (.906). Since 2018, RMC has the highest winning percentage (.868) of any college program at all levels on the East Coast (including Pennsylvania and New York) except for the University of Georgia.
The Yellow Jackets won their first 13 games in 2023, a program record for victories in a season, and reached the semifinals of the NCAA Championship. RMC hosted three of its four NCAA Playoff contests, including a dominant 46-0 triumph over No. 19 Ithaca in the second round and hit the road for a thrilling 39-36 victory at No. 7 Johns Hopkins in the third round. The Yellow Jackets won their 14th ODAC title with a 7-0 conference mark as Arruza was named ODAC Coach of the Year for the sixth time and Region 3 Coach of the Year by D3football.com for the first time. RMC was No. 6 in the final AFCA poll.
RMC had a record-setting season in 2022. The Yellow Jackets went 10-0 during the regular season, the first team in program history to reach double figures in wins. RMC went 7-0 in conference play to claim its 13th ODAC championship, the most in league history. The Yellow Jackets won 38-17 at Hampden-Sydney in the regular-season finale for RMC's ninth straight win over the Tigers. The Yellow Jackets hosted SUNY Cortland in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs and rallied for a 35-28 victory for the 11th win of the season. RMC would fall 39-32 at Delaware Valley in the second round of the NCAA Playoffs. The Yellow Jackets were No. 13 in the final AFCA poll and No. 16 in the final D3football.com Top 25.
In the fall of 2021, the Yellow Jackets went 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the ODAC. RMC tied for the top spot in the conference standings. The Yellow Jackets were ranked No. 20 in the final AFCA Coaches' Poll and No. 23 in the final D3football.com Top 25.
In the spring of 2021, RMC went 5-0 and defeated Emory & Henry 13-10 in overtime in the ODAC Championship Game.
McGee was a four-year member of the football program at Berry. He was a starter at center for two-and-a-half seasons. He was All-SAA First Team in 2017 and 2018. McGee was All-South Region Third Team in 2018, a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and a CoSIDA Academic All-American. He was a four-year member of the Team Leadership Council.
During his senior season, McGee was a student strength and conditioning assistant at Berry.
For 18 months, McGee was a graduate assistant at Berry, working with the running backs and tight ends.
McGee earned a B.S. in Economics from Berry in 2019. He received his M.B.A. from Berry in May of 2021.
