Coach Katie Lockett was a key contributor to the Randolph-Macon College softball program during a historic era of competitive success from 2013 to 2016. During her playing career, the program secured its first ODAC Championship in 2015, earned a runner-up finish in the NCAA Regional Tournament, and achieved multiple Top-10 rankings in the Atlantic Region.
Coach Lockett graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, balancing rigorous academic commitments with her role as a student-athlete.
Following her collegiate career, she continued her involvement in the sport through coaching and player development, including serving as an assistant coach within competitive travel organizations such as the Hanover Lady Hornets.
Coach Lockett currently serves as an instructor at SixFour3 Richmond, where she provides advanced training in hitting, defensive fundamentals, and game strategy. She is known for her technical expertise, high coaching standards, and commitment to individualized player development. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes confidence, intelligence, and repeatable fundamentals—preparing athletes to compete and excel at the next level.
