Eli Mitchell

Mitchell completed his first season at RMC as an assistant coach in 2024. He worked with the running backs.

Following the record-setting season of 2023, RMC posted seven straight conference wins to earn its 15th ODAC championship, the most in conference history. The Yellow Jackets were ranked No. 15 in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) and earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA Championship. RMC would host No. 23 Washington & Jefferson in the second round. The Yellow Jackets rallied from a 14-0 deficit to record a 38-22 victory. RMC joined Mount Union, North Central and Wartburg as the only programs to reach the Round of 16 in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The season would end for the Yellow Jackets at No. 3 Salisbury.

RMC is one of three programs in NCAA Division III with nine or more wins in each of the past six full seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), joining Mount Union and North Central. The Yellow Jackets have a 44-3 ODAC record since 2018 (.936) and own a 48-5 overall record since 2020 (.906). Since 2018, RMC has the highest winning percentage (.868) of any college program at all levels on the East Coast (including Pennsylvania and New York) except for the University of Georgia.

in the spring of 2024, Mitchell was a football operations intern at East Tennessee State University. He assisted with recruiting events and coordinated community service events.

A center at ETSU from 2020-23, Mitchell and the Buccaneers went 11-2 in 2021. ETSU was 7-1 in the Southern Conference, 7-0 at home and reached the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs.

Mitchell earned a degree in sports management and received the Clemmer College Dean’s List Certificate of Distinction.
