Biography

As a senior (2018):

  • Appeared in all 18 games for the Yellow Jackets, starting 15 of those
  • Led the ODAC with 42 assists, tallying a season-high 6 in win vs. Virginia Wesleyan.
  • Was second on the team and ninth in the ODAC with 54 points, tallying 7 in a win over New England College, with two goals and five assists
  • Registered 169 career assists, the most in program history
  • Was selected to the All-Chesapeake Region Second Team as well as First Team All-ODAC.
  • In her career, she was named All-ODAC four times, including First Team each of the past three years

As a junior (2017):

  • Started all 17 games for the Yellow Jackets and led the team in assists with 49 and was second on the team in points with 69
  • Was named to the IWLCA Second Team All-Region as well as the All-State Second Team and the All-ODAC First Team, she was also named ODAC Player of the Week
  • Her 49 assists were also good for first in the ODAC
  • Had a season-high eight points twice this season, first in a win at Goucher (3/11) where she finished with two goals and six assists, then repeatead the performance in a win over Randolph (4/9) with another two goals and six assists
  • Recorded a season-high seven assists in a Mar. 8 win over St. Mary's (Md.).

As a sophomore (2016): 

  • Started every game for the Yellow Jackets this year, earning All-ODAC First Team honors
  • Led the team as well as the conference in assists with 59 averaging 3.28 per contest
  • Was ranked third in the nation in assists
  • Was second on the team in total points tallying 70 on the year
  • Was also named to the All-Chesapeake Region Second Team by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). 

As a freshman (2015): 

  • Second Team All-ODAC
  • Lightfoot appeared in all 18 games with 13 starts for the Yellow Jackets
  • Recorded 23 goals and 42 points on the season
  • Picked up 11 groundballs, and caused two turnovers
  • Notched four draw controls, three in one game against Greensboro (3/26).

Personal:

  • Attended WT Woodson high school where she played lacrosse and field hockey
  • Helped her team win the district championship in each of her four years
  • In lacrosse, received Honorable Mention First Team All-District and Second Team All-Region
  • In field hockey, Lightfoot received first team All-Region honors
  • In addition, was elected captain of both teams
  • Parents, Sally Wood Lightfoot '91 and Will Lightfoot '88, graduated from R-MC
  • Sally played tennis for R-MC.
