Biography

As a Senior (2019)

  • All-ODAC Second Team
  • Helped anchor a defense that had the fourth-best goals-against-average in the conference
  • Earned a starting role in all 19 games
  • Caused 23 turnovers, which was sixth in the ODAC and led the Yellow Jackets
  • Picked up 25 ground balls, which was second on the team
  • ODAC All-Academic

As a Junior (2018)

  • Started in all 18 games for the Yellow Jackets on defense
  • Named to ODAC All-Tournament Team
  • Was fifth on the team tallying 21 ground balls, and causing 18 turnovers, which was good for third on the team
  • Recorded 3 groundballs in wins vs. Frsotburg State, at Roanoke, and at Shenandoah

As a Sophomore (2017)

  • Appeared in 16 games for the Yellow Jackets, starting 15 of them
  • Was one of three Yellow Jackets named to the Second Team All-State and was an All-ODAC Second team selection
  • Her 22 caused turnovers were good for second on the team and ninth in the ODAC and she also fielded 12 ground balls
  • Had 3 caused turnovers and fielded two ground balls in the Mar. 29 win over Virginia Wesleyan
  • Also had three caused turnovers and won a draw control in the opening game of the ODAC tournament against Shenandoah (5/6)

As a Freshman (2016)

  • Played in 14 games for the Yellow Jackets at Defender
  • Fielded six ground balls, won two draw controls, and two caused turnovers

Personal

  • Attended Donovan Catholic high school where she was a three sport athlete, lettering in lacrosse, basketball and volleyball
  • Was the team captain in each sport during her senior season.
  • For basketball, she was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 and as a senior, received Most Improved Player honors and the Scholar Athlete award for maintaining the highest GPA on the team
  • For Volleyball, Roth received Most Improved Offensive Player accolades in 2015.
  • For lacrosse, she was twice named All-Around Player of the Year and led the Griffins with the most goals in 2014 and most ground balls in 2015.
  • As a senior, was named Donovan Catholic's Woman Athlete of the Year through the NJSIAA's National Tribute to Girls and Women in Sports.
  • Off the field, Roth was president of the Griffins' Habitat for Humanity chapter. She intends to pursue a degree in business.
