As a Junior (2016-17): Jermaine appeared in 24 games for the Yellow Jackets starting 6 of them and playing nearly 21 minutes per game...Johnson averaged 5.8 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game...Jermaine dropped a season high 18 points in an away win at Randolph on Feb. 4 while also adding 3 rebounds and 3 assists that game...He dished out a season high 5 assists in a home win against Washington & Lee on Jan. 28 as well as pulling down 7 rebounds twice this season, once against William Peace on Nov. 30 and then again in the home win against Virginia Wesleyan on Jan. 4. 

Jermaine transferred from Canisus College in 2016.

Personal: Johnson attended St. Christopher's where he lettered in basketball for two years... He was named the 2012 Virginia Prep League Player of the Year... Johnson earned second-team All-State honors and was a third-team All-Metro Team choice by the Richmond Times Dispatch.
