As a freshman (’16):  Played in 33 games for the Yellow Jackets at UT...  Spartana scored 12 runs and had eight stolen bases for the Yellow Jackets.

Personal: Cori is a two-sport student-athlete at R-MC -- she is also playing soccer...Cori attended St. Timothy's All Girls International Boarding School where she lettered in soccer, softball and basketball...She is a three-time Coaches Award recipient (two for softball and one for basketball) and a five-time team MVP honoree (three for soccer and two for softball)...Cori was selected to the All-Conference Team for soccer in 2014-15...She received the McCormick Unsung Hero Award for basketball and the Chris Cullison Award...She was on the Honor Roll during each of her prep years and was a full IB Diploma recipient.

Cori was very active in high school in non-athletic organizations...She has been the president of the 4-H Huggable Hummers Alpaca Club since 2006...She received the 2015 Belle Wylie O'Hara Medal for Creative Art...Spartana was a member of Black Awareness, Model United Nations and Social Services...In addition, Cori was the leader of the Moongates Acapella Singing Group.

Cori's father, Stephen Spartana, played baseball for University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
