Biography
As a junior (2017-18)
- Earned All-ODAC Third Team recognition
- Earned fifth place at the 2018 ODAC Championship with a final time of 54.66 in the 100 Back, while earning 7th place in the 500 Free with a time of 4:55.21
As a sophomore (2016-17)
- Swam the 50, 100, 200 and 500 Free, and the 100 and 200 Fly for the Yellow Jackets… He finished fourth in 500 Free at ODAC Championships, with a time of 4:46.34, a top time this season and placed fifth in 100 Fly
- Named to the All-ODAC Second Team.
Personal
- McCarthy transfered from West Virginia and he attended Thomas Dale High School
- Swam for Poseidon swimming club
- Qualified for NCSAs in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
