As a junior (2015): Appeared in 15 games for the Yellow Jackets, starting nine of them…He was one of six Yellow Jackets to lead the team with three goals on the season...Slayton registered seven shots on goal.

As a freshman (2014): Slayton played in all 17  games, starting in seven of them as a forward for the Yellow Jackets…His first collegiate start came against Bridgewater (9/13) where he scored his first collegiate goal…He finished the season with four goals, 13 shots, and nine shots on goal…Slayton had a season-high two goals against St. Mary’s (Md.) (9/23).  

Personal: Slayton comes to the Yellow Jackets as a four year letterman and two-time Team Captain for Hanover High School. Tyler follows in the footsteps of two of his uncles who were also collegiate student-athletes at James Madison University and Virginia State. Tyler intends to pursue a major in Business.
