As a junior (2015-16): All-ODAC Third Team...Appeared in 26 games with 22 starts...Averaged 25.2 minutes per contest...Averaged 12.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists per outing...Shot 50.0% from the floor (123-246), 43.6% on three-pointers (34-78) and 78.8% from the free throw line (41-52)..Scored in double figures 17 times...Career-high 31 points in home win over Roanoke (2/20), going 13 for 19 from the floor and 5 for 7 on three-pointers...Tallied 24 points in home win over Virginia Wesleyan (1/27), hitting 7 of 11 from the floor and 9 of 10 from the free throw line...Grabbed 8 rebounds against Ferrum (12/5) and vs. Hampden-Sydney (1/6)...Had 3 assists four different times, including two of his final three games...Recorded 2 blocks at William Peace.
As a sophomore (2014-15): Michael appeared in 31 games, earning five starts in his second year for R-MC......Taylor averaged 15.5 minutes per game...He finished the season with 132 points, 90 rebounds, 21 assists, 14 steals and seven blocks (fourth on the team).
As a freshman (2013-14): Michael appeared in 16 games for the Yellow Jackets playing 7.4 minutes per game ... Michael scored a career-high six points in a game against Frostburg State (12/1) ... Michael finished the season with 31 points and 11 rebounds.
Personal: Michael attended Grace Christian where he played basketball, soccer, tennis and ran cross country for the Eagles...He helped his soccer team claim the conference championship twice in his prep years...As a senior, Michael helped the Eagles claim the conference in his senior year...Michael was a two-time Conference Player of the Year, once for basketball and soccer and a two-time All-State selection, once for basketball and cross country...Michael intends to pursue a degree in accounting.
Michael's father, Michael Taylor Sr., played basketball for Waynesburg College.
