Mike Maczko has been added to the Randolph-Macon men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.
Maczko played under head coach Josh Merkel while at Salisbury from 2009-12 after transferring in from NJIT.
Most recently, Maczko served as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Baruch College for the past season. Prior to his time with the Bearcats, Maczko was the head men’s basketball coach at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York for five seasons, leading the Mavericks to their first ECC tournament appearance in four years.
His prior collegiate coaching experience included a one-year stint as an assistant men’s basketball coach and head JV coach at Post University. Before that, he was an assistant coach at Johns Hopkins from 2013-15 and a graduate assistant at Georgia Tech in 2015-16.
Maczko played semi-professionally after his time at Salisbury, playing two seasons with the Bay Area Shuckers in the APBL where he averaged 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in his second season.
