ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon men's soccer hosted Berry (Ga.), where the Yellow Jackets jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back for decisive 3-1 win over the reigning SAA champions.

How it Happened
- RMC wasted no time getting the scoring started; Davian Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) slotted home a pass from Barrett Wilson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington). The Lemon and Black quickly extended its lead with a strike from Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) to jump out to a 2-0 lead over the Vikings.
- Excellent midfield play from Bryce Kuberek (King George, Va./King George) and Tyler Oakes (Nottingham, England/Toothill School) limited Berry (Ga.)'s opportunities to press the attack. In the final 20 minutes of the first half, the Yellow Jackets continued to press the attack, adding two more shots and carrying the 2-0 lead into the break
- Coming out of the break, the Vikings earned a quick corner and threatened to cut the lead to one. The Yellow Jackets quickly went on the counterattack after defending the corner opportunity and Davian Jackson extended the RMC lead to three goals in the 72nd minute, assisted by Quinn Conlan (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding).
- In the 86th minute, Berry got on the board on a shot from Elijah Van Heijden, cutting the Lemon and Black lead to two.
- Off of the ensuing kickoff, the Yellow Jackets maintained solid all-around play and closed out the match with a 3-1 victory over the Vikings.
