5/11/2026 7:54:00 PM

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Golf has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships, for the second straight year. The Yellow Jackets will travel just over 2,500 miles to Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California on May 19-22 to play against 34 other teams. RMC was one of 26 automatic selections.

We are super excited to get back to Nationals this year by way of winning the ODAC Conference Championship," said Head Coach Bryan Hearn. "Last year we accomplished the goal of getting there. This year our goals are bigger and we couldn't be more excited to travel west to compete amongst the best in the Nation. Desert golf will be a great test for the majority of the teams in this years field!"

The Yellow Jackets most recently won their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship, since going back-to-back in 2013 and 2014. The team is currently ranked #13 in the nation and have been ranked as high as #9 this season. Hearn also led the team to a win at the Lynn Schweizer Fall Invitational on Aug. 30-31, using a 36-hole record, shooting 599 at the event. They also tallied 244 birdies on the year, eclipsing the old record of 149 from 2024-25. Randolph-Macon finished in the top-10 all nine times, including six top-five finishes.

Most recently at the ODAC Championships, Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) finished second as an individual to lead the group. Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) had an elite final round to land her in third place as an individual. Lilly Hall (Yorktown, Va./Liberty University Online Academy) was the final Yellow Jacket to place in the top-five with a fourth place finish at the conference tournament. Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, Va./St. Catherine's) finished sixth to put four Randolph-Macon players in the top-ten as individuals. Elli Flinchum (Summerfield, N.C./Rockingham County) would place 18th to have all individuals on the all-tournament team for the Lemon and Black.

Tournament Format:
Following 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete the final day. In the team competition, the low four scores from each team for each day will count in the team's total score.
