Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Yellow Jackets put up a great fight down the stretch, but dropped a close contest on the road, as they took a doubles court as well as a singles court, thanks to the efforts of Karsten Palmer (Swepsonville, N.C./River Mill).

Doubles
 
Winston Chapman (Hampton, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and John Paul Zano (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) took care of business at second doubles, winning with a score of 6-4. The pairings of Palmer and Evan Holzmacher (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester), as well as Jayden Alexander (Newport News, Va./Menchville) and Harris Wadsworth (Lake Wales, Fla./Lake Wales) each took two games at first and third doubles, respectively. Chapman and Zano have now won each of their past two doubles contests, after defeating Virginia State last week.

Singles
 
Palmer led the way for the Yellow Jackets, finishing first for the team with a shutout first set. Holzmacher forced a third set at third singles and dropped a narrow contest. Chapman was able to steal eight games at fourth singles, while Wadsworth took four at fifth singles. Both Zano and Alexander were able to take at least one game at first and sixth singles.
