JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Randolph-Macon women's golf is back in action at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate for the opening round, sitting ninth overall out of a 24 team field.
The tournament field is represented by eight of top-10 programs in the country and totaled 15 programs in the top-25.
Lilly Hall (Yorktown, Va./Liberty University Online Academy) and
Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) led the team scores of +4 (76) in the opening round. The duo combined for five birdies, pars on 19 holes and are both tied in 14th place out of 120 individuals.
Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) and
Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, Va./St. Catherine's) both finished the opening round with scores of +8 (80) for Randolph-Macon. The duo combined for five birdies and pars on 13 holes in the round. They both place in 50th place as individuals in the tournament.
Alex DeRee (Dublin, Ohio./Dublin Coffman) completed her round at +9 (81) with pars on nine different holes. The sophomore also sits in 69th place as an individual.
