3/2/2026 3:38:00 PM

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball has been selected for an at-large bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament. RMC, sitting with a 21-7 record, will travel to Scranton, Pennsylvania, to play Otterbein in the first round. The host will be Scranton and they will play against Framingham State in the opening round.

The Yellow Jackets will meet Otterbein for the first time in program history. The Cardinals come into the tournament with a 22-5 record and defeated Baldwin Wallace in the Ohio Athletic Conference championship game to punch their ticket to the tournament. Otterbein turns the ball over just 12.9 times per game, good for 12th in the country, while ranking top-25 in the nation in both scoring defense and free throws made per game.

RMC has faced the Scranton Royals two times before, as they are 27-0 this season, going 18-0 in the Landmark Conference. The Yellow Jackets are 1-1 against the Royals all-time, most recently beating them in the 2005 Division III Championship semi-final game. #2 Randolph-Macon upset #1 Scranton, earning RMC a National Championship berth. As for the Framingham State Rams, RMC has never played the program. They beat Bridgewater State in the MASCAC Finals, after going 17-10 during their season.
