GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Randolph-Macon baseball team is listed as receiving votes in the ABCA Coaches Preseason Poll ahead of the 2026 season, as well as in the D3basbeall.com Preseason Poll.
 
With the Yellow Jackets being tabbed as RV in the 2026 D3baseball.com Preseason Top 25, RMC has appeared in the preseason poll for the 11th consecutive season, dating back to 2015.
 
The Lemon and Black have 13 games against opponents that appeared in the ABCA poll. They will host (RV) Mount Union for their first two games of the season. They will then face #11 Messiah for a three-game series in Ashland, before traveling to (RV) Shenandoah for a Saturday doubleheader in March. The Yellow Jackets will play #7 Lynchburg twice, once home and once away. They will stay in conference to take on (RV) Bridgewater for another home Saturday doubleheader, before two contests against #9 Salisbury.
 
Under Head Coach Ray Hedrick, the Yellow Jackets earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship and hosted a Regional for the first time in program history, earning the No. 2 seed in the Ashland Regional. RMC recorded its fifth ever 30-win season with a 31-17 record, after a 1-2 showing in the Regional. The Yellow Jackets had 33 wins in 2024, 32 in 2023, 38 in 2018 and 35 in 2016. Randolph-Macon finished as the runner-up in the ODAC Championship with a 15-7 conference mark and placed third in the Ashland Regional.
