LEXINGTON, Va. - Randolph-Macon men's swimming had a great showing in a tri-meet with Washington & Lee and Chowan. They fell to W&L 184-77 and defeated Chowan 178-71.
Individual Winners
- In the 200 Fly, Alex Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) earned a first-place finish with a time of 1:56.68. He added a second first-place finish in the 100 Fly with a time of 53.50 seconds.
Individual Highlights
- Parker Anderson (Midlothian, Va./Monacan) finished the 1000 Free in 10:48.70, earning a third-place finish. During the 500 Free, he earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 5:15.70.
- In the same event, Jacob Batson (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) finished with a time of 10:54.04 to earn fourth place.
- During the 200 Free, Matthew Appleton (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:50.16, shaving two seconds from his time last meet.
- Ethan Munoz (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) finished the 100 back in 56.33 seconds, earning a third-place finish. In the 200 Back, he finished third with a time of 2:01.88. He also earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 Back with a time of 2:04.25. In the 200 Medley, he finished in 2:09.55, earning fourth place.
- In the same event, Casey Dingman (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry) earned fourth place with a time of 56.74 seconds.
- Elliott Kassab (Richmond, Va./New Community School) earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:01.48 during the 100 Breast. In the 200 Breast, he earned a second-place finish with a time of 2:16.38. He closed out his night in the 200 Medley with a third-place finish in 2:08.57.
- Evan Fannin (Hayes, Va./Christchurch) earned a fourth-place finish during the 200 Fly with a time of 2:09.39.
- Alex Fortiz (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) finished with a time of 2:18.93 in the 200 breast to earn fourth place.
Relay Highlights
- The 200 Medley relay team of Munoz, Kassab, Fannin and Richardson placed Third with a time of 1:39.46.
- The 200 Free relay team of Richardson, Andrew Fritz (Reston, Va./South Lakes), Zack Hubbard (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) and Fannin earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:29.88.
- In the same event, the relay team of Appleton, Ben Sallade (Bristow, Va./Patriot), Dahmon Harmon (Chesapeake, Va./Deep Creek) and Sasha Babic (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) finished fourth with a time of 1:33.10.
For The Record
- Richardson's 200 fly win was a come-from-behind win and his time is the 7th fastest in the ODAC this season.
