Richardson Earns Two First-Place Finishes in 182-80 Loss At Marymount

ARLINGTON, Va. - Randolph-Macon men's swimming is back in action with its first meet of the New Year against Marymount, falling 182-80. Alex Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) highlighted the Yellow Jackets with wins in the 200 fly and 500 Free. 

Individual Winners
  • In the 200 Fly, Richardson earned a first-place finish with a time of 2:00.05. Richardson earned another first-place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:00.99.
Individual Highlights
  • Parker Anderson (Midlothian, Va./Monacan) finished the 1000 Free in 11:04.33, earning a third-place finish.
  • During the 200 Free, Matthew Appleton (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:52.04.
  • Ethan Munoz (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) finished the 100 back in 56.11 seconds, earning a third-place finish, adding three points to the Yellow Jackets' overall total. In the 200 Back, he finished third with a time of 2:01.88.
  • Alex Fortiz (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) and Sasha Babic (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) finished second and third in the 100 Breast, with Fortiz finishing with a time of 1:01.23 and Babic finishing with a time of 1:03.46.
  • In the 200 Breast, Fortiz earned a third-place finish with a time of 2:20.57.
  • Evan Fannin (Hayes, Va./Christchurch) earned a third-place finish during the 100 Fly with a time of 54.76 seconds.
Relay Highlights
  • The 200 Medley relay team of Munoz, Fortiz, Fannin and Richardson placed Third with a time of 1:40.50.
  • The 200 Free relay team of Andrew Fritz (Reston, Va./South Lakes), Fannin, Appleton and Richardson earned a Second-place finish with a time of 1:31.60.
  • In the same event, the relay team of Zack Hubbard (Stafford, Va./North Stafford), Casey Dingman (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry), Dahmon Harmon (Chesapeake, Va./Deep Creek) and Dillon Strohhacker (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) finished third with a time of 1:34.11.
