GREENSBORO, N.C. – Women's volleyball improves to 8-2 on the season and remains undefeated within ODAC play after winning on the road against Guilford, 3-2.

How it Happened
- The first set began close, with Mia Goode (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) posting two kills each. Then, Guilford pushed out to a 15-7 lead, forcing RMC to call a timeout. The Yellow Jackets rallied back, cutting the Quakers' lead to 19-17. Despite the late surge, RMC was unable to capture the first set, with Guilford winning 25-19.
- Guilford opened the second set 4-0, with a service ace and a kill. Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) checked into the second set and immediately registered a kill, bringing RMC back to within one at 5-6. Goode continued the momentum, serving two aces en route to tying the set, 14-14. Mach, Goode and Lach applied the pressure with three consecutive kills, pushing the Yellow Jackets out to a 20-16 lead. RMC was able to hang on to its lead, closing out the set 25-23.
- Set three saw Randolph-Macon and Guilford remain within a point of each other for the first 10 points, knotting the score at 5-5.The Quakers then put up four kills, forcing the Yellow Jackets to call its first timeout of the set down 11-16. The home team came out of the timeout strong, keeping a 21-14 lead, resulting in RMC's second timeout of the set. RMC won four consecutive points after the timeout, forcing Guilford to call its first timeout of the set with a 23-18 lead. The road team completed an incredible comeback, winning the set 26-24, after going on an 11-1 run behind multiple clutch kills from Ella Courtney (Arlington, Va./Wakefield).
- Courtney was automatic to start the fourth set, registering three service aces, helping her team to a 6-0 lead. The Quakers battled to within one, but the Yellow Jackets kept the momentum, bringing the score to 12-8. Toward the end of the set, the Quakers strung together multiple kills and service aces, resulting in an RMC timeout with the home team up 18-16. Guilford was able to close out the fourth set, winning with a score of 25-20.
- The final set was back and forth, with neither team able to get a lead greater than two points. While Courtney was able to post two kills down the stretch, RMC forced Guilford into a few attack errors, winning the final set 15-11.

- Randolph-Macon's four game win streak is its longest since the 2023 season.
- RMC finished the match with 67 total kills, compared to 56 from Guilford.
- Lach led the match in kills (20) and total points (22).
- Caitlin Smith (Greensboro, N.C./Greensboro Day School) registered a match and career-high 51 assists. She has recorded 10-or-more assists in every match this season.
- Goode's career-high 15 kills ranked second on the team.
