Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) and
Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) have been named Co-ODAC Women's Golfers of the Week following identical performances at the NCAA DIII Preview last weekend.
Mussatt and Haller each established new 36-hole records with their performances at the NCAA Division III Preview, leading the Lemon and Black to a top-five team finish in a field of nationally ranked programs. The juniors placed within the top eight to earn All-Tournament team honors. The performances helped guide the team in setting a program milestone by recording a new 36-hole team scoring record of 593.
The leader of round one would be Haller, shooting an individual score of -3 (69). Mussatt was +2 (74) in the opening round for the Lemon and Black. The two teammates would switch round one scores in the second round to end in a dead tie head-to-head. The duo totalled 14 birdies and shot par on 42 holes. Mussatt did record an eagle in the second round for the Yellow Jackets.
Randolph-Macon will head to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the Williams Fall Invitational on Sept. 27-28, held at the Taconic Golf Club.
