PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Randolph-Macon women's golf is back in action for the first time since finishing in the top-10 at the Williams Fall Invitational, just over a week ago.
The tournament field is represented by five of top-10 programs in the country and totalled seven programs in the top-25.
Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) led the team with an impressive opening round, firing off a -1 (71). The junior recorded four birdies on the day, ending the day 11th overall as an individual.
Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) finished the first day with a score of +1 (73) for the Yellow Jackets. She led the team with most birdies in a round with five overall. The junior currently is 22nd overall in the tournament as an individual.
Lilly Hall (Yorktown, Va./Liberty University Online Academy) and
Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, Va./St. Catherine's) both shot scores of +4 (76) in the first round for the Lemon and Black. The duo recorded six birdies combined in their rounds, as Hall ended with four and Haggerty added the final two. Both are currently in 32nd place on the individual lists.
Elli Flinchum (Summerfield, N.C./Rockingham County) completed her round at +9 (81) with one birdie on hole number one. The senior also added ten pars to her scorecard in the opening round.
