ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Yellow Jackets posted their third sweep of the season against Hunter, but lost a five-set thriller against William Peace, 3-2.

How it Happened vs. Hunter
- RMC opened up the first set strong, creating a 13-6 lead which forced a timeout from Hunter. Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) then registered two more kills to total four in the set, putting the Yellow Jackets up 20-9. The set was then capped off by Grace Ostvig (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge), posting two kills in a span of four points, ending the first set with a 25-16 victory.
- The Lemon and black opened the second set on a 4-0, including two kills by Ella Courtney (Arlington, Va./Wakefield). A few attack errors, coupled with back-to-back kills by Milly F (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory), led to another Hunter timeout, with RMC up 12-5. RMC came out of the timeout strong, winning another four points in a row. The set finished with both teams trading points, resulting in a 25-15 win.
- The start of the last frame was the most even of the three, with the score knotted at four through eight points. Then, Randolph-Macon exploded for an 10-0 run, behind two kills from Karlie Morris (King and Queen County, Va./Middlesex). Ostvig recorded a kill and service ace in two of the last three points, helping RMC capture the third set, 2512.
Inside the Numbers vs. Hunter
- This was Randolph-Macon's third sweep of the season, just five matches in.
- The Yellow Jackets posted 34 total kills, while holding the Hawks to just 18.
- Kaitlyn Kaplan (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) posted her fourth consecutive game registering double-digit digs (10).
- Lach tied for match-highs in kills (six) and service aces (three).

How it Happened vs. William Peace
- Randolph-Macon opened up the first set with a 9-5 lead, behind some balanced play. Then, RMC got out to a 19-10 lead, highlighted by three consecutive service aces from Courtney. Finally, Mach notched two kills in the last third of the set, pushing her squad to a 25-14 win.
- The Pacers came out with a stronger start in the second frame, evening the score at four after facing a 4-0 deficit. The Lemon and Black pulled out to a 15-9 lead, after kills from Mach and Mia Goode (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory). William Peace showed resilience down the stretch, capturing the third set 25-23 after back-to-back kills.
- William Peace continued to build on its momentum, opening the third set with a 12-6 lead. The Pacers registered multiple kills, while forcing some attack errors, keeping them up 23-17. While RMC was able to capture another two points, the Pacers ended up winning the set 25-19.
- Goode, Morris and Caitlin Smith (Greensboro, N.C./Greensboro Day School) each registered kills en route to a 5-5 tie to open the fourth set. RMC then found its groove, generating a 12-7 lead, behind two kills each from Goode and Mach. The Pacers rallied back, forcing the Yellow Jackets to call a timeout down 13-12. The two teams battled down the stretch, but some timely kills and service aces from Lach saw the Jackets capture the fourth set, 25-21.
- Neither program was able to take a lead for most of a tight fifth and final set. Randolph-Macon was then forced to call two timeouts after William Peace inched out to a 13-11 lead. The Pacers were able to round out the set with a service ace and kill, capturing set five, 15-12.

- RMC led the match in total attacks (169), kills (59), assists (52) and hitting percentage (.201).
- Lach recorded match-highs in points (21.5) and kills (17).
- Smith tied for the most assists in the match, generating 42.
- Mach tied for the most aces among Yellow Jackets (three) and finished second in points (17.5).
- Kaplan extended her double-digit dig streak to five games, after posting a team-high 26 digs.
