– Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball used 48 combined kills from
Kylie Wilhelmi and
Allison Lach to win both matches in Raleigh on Saturday.

How it Happened vs. Catholic
- RMC took command of the first set early, as they held a 5-2 advantage that ballooned out to a 13-6 lead. CUA won just two of the next 10 points as RMC continued to roll along, leading 21-8. The Cardinals did get seven of the next 10 points but RMC finished out the set, winning 25-15.
- The second stanza was closer from the beginning. As the two teams traded points before RMC took an 11-7 lead. RMC fended off a Cardinals push by not letting them get within two points until it was 18-17. The Cardinals never took the lead as the Yellow Jackets slowly built the lead over the remainder of the set, winning 25-21.
- The Jackets were ready to take the sweep as they stormed out to a 7-3 lead in the third set. Catholic had other plans, fighting back to tie the score at 13. RMC took the lead again, but CUA immediately tied it again at 16. With the next point, RMC took the lead for good as they held off the Cardinals to earn the sweep.
Inside the Numbers vs. Catholic
- Randolph-Macon hit .272 in the match, their highest mark so far this season.
- Kylie Wilhelmi (Cherry Valley, Ill./Rockford Lutheran) led the team with 16 kills and hit .444. She also had double digit digs for the second straight match.
- Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) totaled a career-high 14 kills.
- Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) had a season-high 27 assists.
- Maddy DeCandido (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) and Kaitlyn Kaplan (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) each had 14 and 12 digs, respectively.
How it Happened vs. William Peace
- The Pacers raced out to an early 6-3 lead in the first set, but a later 4-0 run by the Yellow Jackets to make it 12-11 gave RMC their first lead since being up 1-0. RMC slowly built the lead further as it extended out to 21-17. The Pacers rallied back, winning eight of the final 10 points of the set to earn a hard-fought set one win.
- It was RMC's turn to jump out to a lead, holding a 6-2 advantage to begin the second set. William Peace immediately turned the score around to go on a 6-1 run and take the lead 8-7. RMC responded by re-taking the lead and pushing it out to 17-13. The Pacers answered again, however, and took the lead back at 18-17. RMC finally got control of the set for the final time after a 6-1 run, winning the set 25-22.
- The momentum carried over into the third set, as RMC took an 8-1 lead out of the gate and never looked back. They dominated their way with three 4-0 runs and a 7-0 run as they won the third set 25-9.
- William Peace opened the fourth set by leading 2-1, but that was all they could muster, as RMC cruised through a 12-0 run and later had a 6-0 run to close out the win, 25-12.
Inside the Numbers vs. William Peace
- Lola Nolasco (Georgetown, Tx./Gateway College Prep) had a career-high seven blocks while also totaling five kills.
- RMC bested the first match of the day for best hitting percentage of the season, hitting .289 in match two.
- Kylie Wilhelmi finished with 15 kills and a season-high 18 digs. That gives her double-digit digs for three straight matches. She hit .382 in the match.
- Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) totaled three blocks and five service aces.
- Ella Courtney (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) had a career-high five blocks.
- Allison Lach had 13 kills and five service aces.
