SALEM, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team visited (RV) Roanoke for a tough weekend conference matchup in Salem, Virginia. The Maroons rode two first half goals en route to victory over the Yellow Jackets 3-0.

How it Happened
- Roanoke started fast on offense, putting three shots towards goal in the first nine minutes of the game. The Maroons converted on their first shot on goal, as Ryan Pidgeon scored on an assisted pass by Jake Berecz in the 11th minute.
- The Maroons doubled the lead in the 21st minute, as Quinn Kunath found Alex Lopacinski in striking area to find the back of the net.
- Randolph-Macon saw great play by Grayson Woods (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) and Damien Jackson (Newport News, Va./Menchville) in the midfield to help create attacks at goal and keep the Maroon pressure off of the defensive back line. Roanoke would indeed use those two early first half goals to have a 2-0 lead into halftime.
- The Yellow Jackets were the aggressors to begin the second half, using great play by Elijah Caro (Asheville, N.C./Black Mountain) and Bryce Kuberek (King George, Va./King George) in the midfield to create pressure for Roanoke. The Maroons would add a final goal in the 83rd minute to seal a 3-0 victory over the Lemon and Black.

- Roanoke had 18 shots in the game, compared to the seven that Randolph-Macon tallied. The Yellow Jackets put two shots on frame to the Maroons seven in 90 minutes.
- Both teams were able to create three corner opportunities in the game.
- Adam Braithwaite (Chesterfield, Va./Matoaca) made four saves in 90 minutes for the Yellow Jackets.
