Out of that stoppage, RMC pushed the lead out to 17-5 which forced another Ferrum timeout as the Yellow Jackets had full control of the opening frame. The pressure stayed on, as RMC cruised to close out the set, winning 25-9 after taking the final three points.
  • RMC doubled up Ferrum early in the second, leading 10-5 through the first 15 points. The lead extended further as a 7-2 run later made it 17-8. After the Panthers won the next three points, RMC went on a 4-0 stretch and won three of the final four points to earn the set two win, 25-16.
  • The first three points of the third stanza were all won by the Yellow Jackets, which then extended out to nine of the first 12 points. The Panthers rallied for a 4-2 run before RMC put a halt to the momentum with a stretch of five straight points to make the score 15-7 and force a Ferrum timeout.
