ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon men's hoops has moved up four more spots to crack the top-five of the latest edition of the d3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. The Yellow Jackets have won 13 straight games and 17 of their last 19 contests entering the final two weeks of the regular season.

Over the past week, RMC picked up two more wins, beginning with a 70-64 win on the road at Bridgewater on Wednesday. Sophomore guard Keishawn Pulley Jr. led all scorers with 17 points, hitting a trio of three pointers. On Saturday in front of a sold out crowd at Hampden-Sydney, RMC won a defensive battle to take down the number one team in the country in the Tigers by a score of 48-46. ODAC Player of the Week award winner Daniel Mbangue shot perfect from the field, going 7-for-7 to total 15 points. The senior hit a shot with a minute left to ultimately win the game for the Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets are currently the second ranked scoring defense in the country, allowing 54.1 points per game and sits in the top five in field goal percentage defense and turnovers per game.

Randolph-Macon is 16-5 versus ranked teams since 2019, including wins over #1 Hampden-Sydney and #2 Guilford this season. Head coach Josh Merkel is 6-3 against top-ten teams in his tenure at the helm of RMC men's hoops.

Randolph-Macon looks to continue to climb the national rankings this week with a road matchup with Washington and Lee on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and then head home for the first time in two weeks to take on Ferrum at 2:00 p.m.
