Softball Releases 2025 Schedule

ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon softball team has released its 2025 spring schedule. The 40 game slate features 20 home games, 16 road games, and 4 neutral site games. The Yellow Jackets look to replicate the success from the past half-decade, reaching the postseason in five straight seasons (not including the 2020 and 2021 covid seasons). Krysti Maronski-Neufeldt enters her first season at the helm of the Yellow Jackets softball program.  

Opening day is set for February 23, with a home doubleheader against Marymount (Va.). The Yellow Jackets will begin March welcoming in Southern Virginia for a doubleheader on 3/1 and will head to Meredith College the day after on 3/2. Randolph-Macon will take part in the Triangle Classic in Raleigh, North Carolina the weekend of March 8-9. The Lemon and Black will take on Denison and North Carolina Wesleyan the first day of the tournament and will conclude with two games against Muskingum and Pfeiffer on day two. Muskingum is coming off a successful 2024 season with a super regional appearance and Pfeiffer will also be a test, competing in an NCAA regional a season ago. 

The Yellow Jackets will return to Ashland for a doubleheader with Stockton on 3/11 and make a quick trip up interstate 95 to take on Mary Washington on 3/13. Shenandoah will be the opponent to open up Old Dominion Athletic Conference play for Randolph-Macon, the doubleheader is set for 3/15 at home. The Lemon and Black will remain at home and welcome in National Semifinalist Tufts University on 3/19 at Carol Estes Park. The remainder of the month will be on the road for Randolph-Macon, playing three conference doubleheaders. The road trip will start with a doubleheader with Ferrum on 3/22 and will conclude with Averett (3/29) and Guilford (3/30). 

April will begin with a tough test with another last season Super Regional participant in Christopher Newport on 4/4 at home. Randolph-Macon will jump back into conference play with a home doubleheader with Eastern Mennonite on the fifth of April. The rest of the month will see the Yellow Jackets head on the road for three doubleheaders with Bridgewater (4/8), Sweet Briar (4/16) and Lynchburg (4/26). Randolph-Macon will also play host to three doubleheaders in Roanoke (4/12), Randolph (4/13) and conference foe and World Series participant of last season Virginia Wesleyan (4/24).     
   
The ODAC tournament will take place on May 2-9, with the top two regular season teams hosting a pod format, double elimination playoff round on May 2-4. The championship will be a best-of-3 series at the higher seed on May 8-9.
