ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Randolph-Macon men's swimming won ten total events in an impressive 179.5-82.5 victory to St. Mary's (Md.) to gain their first win of the 2024-2025 season. 
  
Individual Winners

• Elliott Kassab (Richmond, Va./New Community School) took home the victory in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:02.56. Kassab also won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.00. The sophomore would win his third event of the evening in the 200 yard IM with an overall time of 2:06.62. 
• Caleb Thomas (Moseley, Va./Cosby) won the 100 yard backstroke in 55.70 seconds, finishing almost three seconds faster than the next swimmer. The junior also took home the victory in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.84. 
• Evan Fannin (Hayes, Va./Christchurch) won the 200 yard butterfly in 2:08.81 and finished in the top spot in the 100 yard butterfly in 56.34 seconds. 
• Dillon Strohhacker (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) finished with the top spot in the 200 yard freestyle in 1:54.71.

Relay Winners

• The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Thomas, Alex Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach), James Skarbek (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) and Aidan Campbell (Newport News, Va./Warwick) won the event in 1:30.29. 
• The 200 medley relay team of Thomas, Kassab, Fannin and Campbell beat the St. Mary's (Md.) relay team by almost three full seconds, clocking in at 1:39.71.

Individual Highlights

• Parker Anderson (Midlothian, Va./Monacan) placed second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.96. The sophomore added a runner-up finish in the 500 yard freestyle in 5:12.25.  
• Casey Dingman (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry) finished with the silver in the 100 yard backstroke in 58.13 seconds. The freshman also placed second in the 200 yard backstroke in 2:07.39. 
• Alex Fortiz (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) was the runner-up in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.37. 
• Campbell added two second place finishes in the 50 and 100 yard freestyles to his overall impressive evening with an overall time of 22.55 seconds and 50.59 seconds. 
• Richardson ended his meet performance with a second place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a clocked time of 56.41 seconds.
