ARLINGTON, Va. – Randolph-Macon women's swimming rang in the new year with a 138-66 win at Marymount on Friday afternoon, winning all but two events on the day.

RMC won both relays, winning the 200 medley relay by .06 seconds with a time of 1:56.73 to open the meet. The second relay to end the meet was the 200 free relay which RMC won by four seconds with a time of 1:44.03.

Kierra Parsons (Akron, Pa./Ephrata) shined on the day with two wins, first in the 1000 free in the first individual event of the day, finishing in 11:13.73. She then won the 500 free in 5:32.10.
Brooklyn DeCann (Huntersville, N.C./Lincoln Charter) finished second in both events, giving RMC the top two spots on the podium.

Cayden Fix (Barboursville, Va./William Monroe) also won two events. She cruised to a win in the 50 free in 25.60 and then won the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.94 with her teammate,
Melina Christou (Smithfield, Va./Menchville) finishing second with a time of 1:03.50.

Christou also won the 200 IM with
Katelyn Vieni (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) taking the second spot. Christou finished in 2:17.63 and Vieni finished in 2:20.75.

RMC rounded out the day with
Teaghan McNeill (Knightdale, N.C./Enloe) taking gold in the 100 free with a time of 56.88, winning the event by two full seconds.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in the pool tomorrow for a 1:00 p.m. meet against Virginia Wesleyan in Ashland.
