How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon began the game hot on the offensive end, scoring 19 points in the first ten minutes. Bella Bruce (Herndon, Va./Westfield) and Park made back-to-back threes to cap off a 7-0 start of the game for RMC. The period ended with a 19-10 lead for the Lemon and Black, guided by knocking down 3-of-6 three point attempts and using defense to hold Salisbury to 3-of-16 shooting. Park led the way with eight points and made both three balls she put up.
- The second period saw both teams struggle offensively as both teams combined for 14 points total. The Yellow Jackets scored the first five points of the second period to push the lead to 25-13 with 2:25 left. Randolph-Macon's defense showed up the entire first half, as the SeaGulls were only able to knock down one shot in the second period. The defensive effort held the Salisbury offense to .166 percent shooting (4-of-24) the entire half, as RMC went into the locker room up 28-15. Smith led with four points, including a three ball.
- In the third period, Elkins showed her offensive prowess scoring seven of the 16 points for the Yellow Jackets. The sophomore's lay-up with 1:07 left in the period helped record her 11th double-double of the season and sent the RMC lead to 44-29 with one period to play. Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) also lended a helping hand with four points to her credit.
- The fourth period was huge for Smith, as the freshman led both teams in scoring with eight points. Salisbury outscored the Yellow Jackets 16-14 in the final ten minutes, but RMC would take home the 58-45 road victory. Elkins, Park and Smith all ended the game in double figures for Randolph-Macon in a gutty non-conference road match-up.

- Randolph-Macon shot 33.8% from the floor, as Salisbury knocked down only 29.4% of their shots.
- Salisbury outrebounded 44-to-43. The Yellow Jackets did pull down 15 offensive rebounds to help their cause offensively.

- Smith was all over the floor for the Lemon and Black. The freshman recorded 12 points and shot 3-of-4 from behind the arc. The three makes from behind the arc is a season and career high. She also grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists. The six rebounds tied her season and career high.
- Bruce scored seven points and pulled down six rebounds in the game.
- Cait Velez (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) recorded a career high in assists with five on the evening.
