Bridgewater Invitational Day Two

Record Low Day Two Score for Women's Golf at Bridgewater Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Freshmen Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) and Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) both finished in the top-10 individually as the Bridgewater Fall Invitational wrapped up on Tuesday.
 
As a team, RMC shot 312 on the day, marking a new school-record, finishing second in the tournament, trailing only Lynchburg on the leaderboard. RMC improved their scoring by 13 strokes from day one to day two and climbed up from third to second in the process. The second-place finish marks the best finish for RMC under the helm of head coach Bryan Hearn.
 
Mussatt finished tied for fourth overall, shooting a 76 on day one and a 78 on day two. Haller climbed into the top-10 on the leaderboard today after shooting a 75 (+3).
 
Elli Flinchum (Summerfield, N.C./Rockingham County) improved her score from yesterday by five strokes, finishing with a 78 (+6) to place in the top 15.
 
Mary Kathryn Topping (Midlothian, Va./Maggie Walker Governor's School) used a strong front nine to shoot an 81 (+9) on the day, placing tied for 18th in the tournament.
 
Emma Bonovitch (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) improved by five strokes from day one, finishing with an 86 (+14) on the scorecard on day two. Vyvy Tran (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) shot a 98 on day one and followed with a 101 on day two to round out the RMC lineup.

The Yellow Jackets will travel to Williamstown, Mass. this weekend for the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
