WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team bested Catholic University, 5-4, on a chilly Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets swept the doubles matches, securing three vital points. Holland Baynard (Wilmington, N.C./New Hanover) and Xan Johnston (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) set the tone early at 1st doubles, cruising to an 8-3 victory. In singles play, the Yellow Jackets won at the 2nd and 4th positions to secure the win. Max Hammock (Vienna, Va./James Madison) cruised to victory at 2nd singles 6-2, 6-2. Max Doyle (Alexandria, Va./St. John's College) notched a win for RMC by winning 6-0, 6-3. The win moves Randolph-Macon to 5-2 heading into Saturdays ODAC contest at Shenandoah University.
